LLC compliance calendar

Forming the LLC starts the clock. Most states want a report every year or every two years, and some add an annual fee. Enter your state and formation date and this tool lists your next three report deadlines from the state rule.

How to read the result

The tool reads the report rule for your state. Some states set a fixed calendar date for every company. Some states tie the deadline to your formation month, either on the formation day or at the end of that month. The result shows the report name, the rule in plain words, the fee, and the next three dates the rule produces after today. Put those dates in the calendar you actually use, with a reminder a few weeks early, because the filing itself is quick and the penalty for missing it is not.

If your state charges an annual fee on top of the report, the tool lists that fee as its own line. In California, for example, the annual franchise tax is separate from the Statement of Information, and both belong on your calendar.

A worked example

Form a Wyoming LLC in March and the annual report falls due around the anniversary month each year, with a minimum fee in our data of sixty dollars. The calendar tool turns that rule into three concrete dates from your March formation date. Form in a fixed date state instead and every company in that state shares the same deadline, whatever month you formed in. The rule decides which pattern you get, and the tool follows the rule in the data rather than guessing.

Frequently asked questions

What is an annual report for an LLC?

It is a recurring state filing that confirms the company address, agent and ownership details. Some states call it a statement of information or a biennial statement, and each state sets its own fee and deadline rule.

What happens if I miss a report deadline?

States charge late fees and can move the company out of good standing, and some can dissolve the company after a missed cycle. The exact late fee and consequence for your state are shown in the tool result.

Does the calendar tool store my formation date?

No. The date stays in the page address so you can bookmark or share the result, and nothing is sent to a server by the tool.
